Our Designer Vintage Bridal Show wouldn’t be a show without a venue and we think we’ve picked a corker for the first annual bridal show dedicated to all things designer and vintage! But it’s the teams behind the scenes like the catering companies that pull everything together and create a memorable wedding day!
Let’s find out a bit more about Civic Catering who are responsible for creating delicious food for weddings and other events at Highbury Hall.
Tell us a bit about your company? Civic Catering is part of Birmingham City Council – Europe’s largest local authority. Our team are experts in event catering and can provide lavish banquets in any setting whether it’s in one of our historic buildings or a venue of your own choice. Our two prestige venues, Highbury Hall and the Council House can be hired for weddings, including civil ceremonies and partnerhips, proms, private dinners, celebrations and conferences. In 2010 Civic Catering won the Association of Public Sector Excellence award for ‘best service team catering category’
Why vintage? What do you love about it and why should everyone else? Running events in grade II listed buildings gives us an appreciation of our history and we love embracing our English heritage.
In your particular industry, what do you think is going to be hot in 2011 for our brides to be. Cup cakes instead of the ‘traditional wedding cake’ and perhaps customers having a Juke Box at our venues in place of the usual DJ.
There are many wedding shows across the UK, so what helped you decide on exhibiting at the new Designer Vintage Bridal Show. We felt that this was a different type of show, different to the standard bridal shows that take place and felt it was worth while taking part.
What are you looking forward to at the show? Looking forward to a fun filled day. Have never taken part in this style of show before so really looking forward to it.
Who from our list of amazing exhibitors would you like to work with? Sugarfoot Stomp DJs look awesome!
