Focus on…Julian Marment

Nestled nice amongst our blog updates on the show and what it takes to put together an event of this kind, are our Focus On… interviews. We get to chat with some of our exhibitors over a virtual coffee and then let you know all about them.

Today’s Focus is on photographer Julian Marment, a newcomer to the Designer Vintage Bridal Show in October and someone you should really stop by and meet…

“I am a wedding photographer with a background in commercial photography, where I have been in the industry for many years. But more recently I’ve turned towards wedding photography to satisfy my love of capturing special moments in time.

“Since I have embarked on this crazy journey over the last year, I’ve met many fantastic and talented people and it takes me back to my days at Bourneville Art College, where I was constantly being inspired to push myself creatively. It has been the most fun and fulfilling year I have had as a professional photographer and has given me the platform upon which I can be myself and showcase my own creative talent.

“I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my work, both behind the lens and beyond. I love the uniqueness of every wedding and I enjoy making people happy. My aim is to give people a fun and relaxing experience to remember.

“I love all things creative and vintage is just that…creative. I love the mixing of old and new, to create beautiful imagery, whether it be vintage or other classic fine art techniques.

“For the next season brides need to look for photographers that offer more than just their photographic talent. They need a photographer with fantastic people skills, a great sense of humour, yet a professional manner that they can trust. Being a wedding photographer puts me in a very privileged position. I get to see the whole day, while holding the happy couple’s hand along the way (well, not literally).

“I didn’t exhibit at the Designer Vintage Bridal Show in February. The wedding industry is evolving in an exciting way and this show encapsulates this. I’m looking forward to meeting some of the best suppliers in the business.”
